The Narmada runner is handmade from sustainable jute and wool, with a pattern that is etched into wood, then block printed onto the rug. To add colour, pieces of recycled sari have been interwoven into the design, giving it a rustic finish.
Hemp is a fast-growing plant, taking only 3-4 months to reach maturity. It uses much less water than cotton and is naturally pest resistant, ensuring pesticides are not required. Not only eco-friendly, hemp is durable and hard-wearing.
The hallway rug has been ethically produced in factories partaking in the GoodWeave scheme, which ensures it was made by adult artisans, not children, and that no forced or bonded labour was used in its production. To learn more, visit GoodWeave.org.
